The Parish Council is looking to give the Memorial Park a facelift.  The first phase of this will be the installation of new equipment to complete the children’s play area.  This will be funded by money donated by Barratt Homes as a requirement of the planning permission that was granted for the Octavia Gardens development.

The Council are hoping to make a Heritage Lottery Application in the autumn to help fund the restoration of some of the original features in the Memorial Park and to install new low-level lighting, make improvements to the drainage, the skate park area and the bowling green.

To help in the preparation of their Lottery bid, the Council would like to hear from residents who have photos and information of events that have taken place in the Memorial Park over the years. Photographs and information should be sent to:  astclerk@chapelpc.org
