The hearing of the parish council’s appeal took place at the High Court in Manchester on 8th April. The Parish Council seeks to challenge a series of preliminary rulings by a District Judge at an earlier hearing in the Magistrate's Court in December 2024. After hearing lengthy legal argument from both sides of the case, the Deputy High Court Judge reserved judgment. A written judgment is expected in the coming weeks.
