Public Community Event - Help us to form a strong objection - Thursday 11th December
The Parish Council is hosting a public community meeting to bring residents together to help shape a strong and informed objection to the proposed application for an additional 180 houses at Crossings, Chapel-en-le-Frith.
This is not a council meeting – it is a community-led discussion and planning session. The council and many residents have serious concerns about this development, particularly around;
• Environmental damage
• Loss of green belt land
• Increased traffic and congestion
• Flood risk
• Overdevelopment in an area with already limited facilities
We are inviting anyone who has expertise, experience, local knowledge, or simply a strong interest to come along and contribute. We would especially welcome people with knowledge in:
• Planning
• Traffic management
• Flood management
• Environment or biodiversity
Meeting Details:
Location: Chapel-en-le-Frith Town Hall
Date: Thursday 11th December
Time: 8:00pm start
We aim to finish by 9:00pm, but due to the importance of this issue the meeting may run on until 9:30pm at the very latest.
This is a vital opportunity for the community to come together, share concerns, and help build a clear, well-evidenced objection. Your voice, skills, and passion can make a real difference.
Please share this post to help spread the word and encourage others to attend.
