Neighbourhood Watch Press Release
Chapel Parish Council Encourage Residents To Get Involved In Neighbourhood Watch
Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish Council is encouraging residents to get involved with the High Peak Neighbourhood Watch scheme. Residents who want to get involved are encouraged to email highpeaknhw@gmail.com, call the Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator Paddy Bann on 07718782666 or join the High Peak Neighbourhood Watch Facebook Group.
The Neighbourhood Watch number for the group is NH060H155. Bin stickers are also available, which can act as a deterrent.
The Parish Council is also encouraging people to sign up to Derbyshire Alert at www.derbyshirealert.co.uk
Cllr Paddy Bann, who as well as being the coordinator, is on the Parish Council’s Police Liaison Working Group, says:
“We believe, as concern about crime in the area is growing, that the best course of action for residents is to join together and help each other out to tackle the problem. Neighbourhood Watch schemes are a tried and tested way for a community to help bring down crime.”
Cllr Tony Dales, who is also on the Police Liaison Working Group and helping to run the Neighbourhood Watch, says:
“For every person who joins, there is an extra set of eyes within our Neighbourhood Watch network and that can make a huge difference. We all love our area and we all want to keep it safe, so please join. We are particularly looking for Volunteer Street Co-ordinator to help distribute information to their neighbours when required.”
